Hi Ufuk,

I think I have found the problem. Unfortunately it is in the C
extension
module and will require rebuilding the package. As a temporary
workaround, try splitting up your loop as:

for i in xrange(0, im):
         lat[i,:] = Ngl.ftcurv(ctlpix[:], ctllat[i,:], npix[:])
for i in xrange(0, im):
         lon[i,:] = Ngl.ftcurv(ctlpix[:], ctllon[i,:], npix[:])

Let me know if that does not work for you.
