Hi Eric,

Yes, and we really wanted to get that out this month, but we've had
other (NCL) priorities keeping us from this.

We're trying to do a bit of clean-up work to get our error reporting
more robust and Python-like, and also add coordinate subscripting to
PyNIO. Our plan is for a release sometime in March.

If you can't wait this long, feel free to email me personally and I'll
see what I can do.
