Re: Preferred versions of Python, numpy

We currently run the latest LTS version of Ubuntu (10.04) on desktops and
servers. This configuration provides us with Python 2.6.5 and NumPy 1.3.0.
Using later versions would mean breaking away from the Ubuntu package
management system which is not ideal.
