I should caution that I'm not sure how backwards compatible numpy 1.5.0 is with 1.3.0, so the precompiled binary could have issues in that department.
As for the source code, I haven't tried building against numpy 1.5.0 yet. Do you have the output from the full source code build, so I can see what the error messages were?
