Re: stuck on install

I think creating the "Ngl" softlink caused a problem.

Perhaps instead of a softlink, you should either remove it, or create
an "Ngl" directory and just copy the PyNGL contents to it.

However, having the "Ngl.pth" file with the single line "PyNGL"
in it should be enough to get this working.

To summarize then, your directory
/usr/local/pyngl/lib64/python2.4/site-packages should look like this:

   Ngl.pth PyNGL PyNGL.pth

where "Ngl.pth" and "PyNGL.pth" have the same "PyNGL" line.

Then, as long as /usr/local/pyngl/lib64/python2.4/site-packages
is still on your PYTHONPATH, python should find the "Ngl.pth",
and hence know to look in the "PyNGL" directory.
