Hi,
Please forgive me if this is a stupid question, but I compiled PyNIO 1.3.0b1
from source to run with python 2.4.4 using gcc 4.1.2. It installed just fine,
but when I go to import it into python I get the following error message:
Python 2.4.4 (#2, Oct 22 2008, 19:52:44)
[GCC 4.1.2 20061115 (prerelease) (Debian 4.1.1-21)] on linux2
Type "help", "copyright", "credits" or "license" for more information.
>>> import nio
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "<stdin>", line 1, in ?
ImportError: /usr/lib/python2.4/site-packages/PyNIO/nio.so: undefined symbol:
SWfieldinfo

Could you please help me figure out why I'm seeing the above error?

The system I installed on is:
Linux 2.6.18-6-686 #1 SMP Mon Oct 13 16:13:09 UTC 2008 i686 GNU/Linux

Thank you!
