contour levels on a contour map

  Hi all,

  How do I get the contour levels from a contour map?

    clev = Ngl.get_float_array(contour_map,'cnLevels')

  gives me:

  warning:cnLevels is not a valid resource in map at this time
  warning:NhlGetValues:Error retrieving cnLevels
