Hi Wendi,

Please see the attached contour3.py file and sample dataset. I also
took the liberty of labeling the X axis with longitude-style labels,
and the Y axis with months.

Another thing I noticed with this plot is that it looks a little
better if you point the tickmarks outwards. This almost makes me
wonder if this should be a default for PyNGL in general. Currently,
tickmarks always point inwards.

I would be interested in hearing from others on this topic.
